This project rehabilitated the existing Sunshine Laundry and Cleaners Building in Oklahoma City as leased commercial, restaurant, and bar space on the first floor, and office tenant space on the second floor. Work included the removal of existing main entry wood and glass, low-pressure washing of the existing brick and cast stone to remove dirt and grime, and graffiti removal on the south and west sides. The largest portion of the space houses the renowned Stonecloud Brewery, an on-site brewery with an adjacent Taproom for serving their locally brewed beer.

The Taproom occupies what was the original drive-thru for the cleaners, and utilizes the existing conditions as part of the design. The newly added Lager Lounge expands the footprint further around the main floor.

The Gardner team oversaw the project from its early stages, leading the team through the Historic Tax Credit process, and implementing an ambitious design plan. The success of the Sunshine Building project ignited newfound development for projects that continue to move forward in west Downtown Oklahoma City.
