An art-deco gem tucked in a traditional neighborhood, the owners approached Gardner with the intent to breathe new life into the home. At its state upon purchase, the existing living spaces were divided into small rooms with beige concrete block walls and little natural light. Interior walls were refinished to homogenize and soften the harsh texture of the concrete block, while new wood floors replaced ceramic tile throughout to bring much-needed warmth to the home. Ample natural light and an open flow through the space dramatically shifted the mood of the home while leaving the original facade intact. Warm wood tones contribute to the space through custom high-end millwork and furniture pieces all designed by Gardner. The clean, warm aesthetic fosters a balanced interior contributing to a timeless, welcoming atmosphere sought by the Jones family.
