Gardner designed the interior of this restaurant located in a historic building in Oklahoma City’s Uptown District. This “modern oysterette” enjoys a prime location that provides both an expansive view of a bustling intersection and generous amounts of natural light into the space. The tone of the interior relies on subtle shifts of pastel colors offset by light, warm wood tones, and brass accents, reminiscent of the coastal inspiration and signature seafood fare.
Reinforcing this light and airy aesthetic is the balance and contrasting weights of the furniture and fixtures in the restaurant. The backbar serves as a focal point pulling together this subtle, nautically inspired space to create a unique, family-style culinary experience. Circular white oak booths seem to float through the open central dining room as if to transport guests on a cozy dining journey.
